Each stage of life just keeps bringing the same question. "What's your major?" then "When are you getting married?" then "When are you having a baby?" Not sure what comes after the baby question, probably "when are you going to give them a little brother or sister?" <br /><br />For what it's worth, I liked the "what's your major/what are you studying?" question, as it actually TOLD you something about the person and their interests. Now that we're grown-ups, I find the "What's your job?" question deeply unsatisfying, as few folks I know define themselves through their work. I've been trying out some new alternatives along the lines of "How do you enjoy spending your time?"
